Research has shown that from making the best steel in the world to teaching the world to count, India was actively contributing in almost every field centuries before modern inventions. Nobel laureate and physicist Albert Einstein has also said that we are greatly indebted to Indians, who taught us to count, without which no meaningful scientific discovery could have been made. Many principles and techniques discovered by the ancient Indians have formed and strengthened the fundamentals of modern science and technology. While some of these important contributions have been acknowledged, some discoveries have been lost in the course of time.
